This room was set up as a spare bedroom but was never used. We decided to turn it into a game room for the kids! We wanted something fun and hip that would last through the years. They love it and so do we!

Our basement has been in desperate need of some TLC since we bought this house. The pictures of it from when we moved in are in my photos under "Family Room" I think.. 4 years later and we finally decided to get some of the bigger stuff out of the way. We're not totally finished of course. I'd say we're at about 75 percent complete now. We need a new laundry room door, touch ups (that's why you'll see some green tape), more stuff on the walls, more furniture (chair, end table, rug), new carpet on the stairs, etc. The big stuff (lighting, paint, flooring, windows) is done and now it's just finishing touches and smaller things.

Tiled over stairs, wife wanted it, two years later the tiles are no longer " nice looking, and are outdated "so I went over them, with " real" stairs
We took down the drop ceilings and wood paneling to create an updated rec area and play room for the kids.
