New House - Finished Daylight Basement, We finished 1000 sq ft of the 1350 sq ft basement divided into a wet bar area complete with DW,undercounter frig, microwave and cabinets, pool table area and theater area. We also added a full bathroom, large 12 foot closet with double doors, workshop and two storage closets. My husband did ALL the electrical/lighting, plumbing and trim work. I did the decorating and ALL priming and painting!!, Basements Design

My grandfather's "office space"/uncles lounge room., my grandfather is about to turn 70 and he's always working on projects in his house. At his age he is to old to be doing much more, he's had open heart surgery and now he's back to working on his business that has moved to his house. The whole basement is a huge disaster that he wants to begin work on soon but I think it will be too much for him. I would really like to be able to make this into a space that he will enjoy. the pipe basements, I spent many hours in the basement in the winter ,is the wormest room in the house BUT,the pipe all over the ceiling,is very dark,the fire place dont work,is very depressive, Basements Design
