Our home was built in 1970 and it is most apparent in our bathrooms. Our master bath was very 70's retro with lavender speckled tile on the walls and small lavender tile on the floor. The vanity was an old off white laminate and the mirror was old and boring as well. I hated going into the room and would never use it because it made me cringe when I walked through the door! I repainted the wall tile white, painted the walls a warm caramel color and placed vinyl tiles over the gross tile. I then repainted the vanity, counter top and framed out the mirror. Total cost: $83! It's a whole new room don't you think!!
