counter top color screams...obviously floor tile was put down to go w that. otherwise, the soft gray bath is not offensive at all. I think stripes of any kind would make the room seem smaller and "busy". If you want to make the counter less "YIKES", you could do a FEW scattered pleasing designs that use both lighter/darker tones of gray and the other tones in the room to help pull it all together - and will take care of that "empty wall space" look...Then consider some fluffy white towels and a simple curtain (window & Shower in one of the colors you use-perhaps a lighter one

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your wall color. This is so relaxing and serene I'd never want to leave. Your vanity color is similar in tone to mine, so I'd like to know your paint brand and color so I can give this a try. Thanks so much for posting. You've done a fantastic job pulling everything together!

I don't think stripes would do well in this space, but I love the wall color, and choice of neutral floor tile. For some reason I'm not liking the white vanity, or the counter top color. At closer look I like the vanity, I think it's the counter top I'm not liking. It's too bold of a color should have maybe went shades lighter on the counter top.

I don't think the stripes would go at ALL with this space. This is too traditional/romantic looking for the stripes. It'd be way too busy, I think. I like it just the way it is - what's the paint color on the walls?

I think stripes would be too much and might force you to remove the stripey window treatment. I like the shower curtain. Wonder if you could find or have a stencil made to replicate one or more of the circular motifs in it - or maybe versions of your flower wall scuplture. I think stenciling a few of those in one shade lighter and one shade darker than your wall color would be stunning!
