Thanks to all for the great feedback! We couldn't get the blue shower replaced this time around as its an odd size so replacement would have meant cutting into the wall, re-framing and re-dry walling. It was more work than we wanted to do so i thought we could kind of "fake it" and tile above the shower for effect! :

amazing that you could re-tile floor w/that budget. New toilet is nice. did you get rid of blue tub or just cover w/curtain? (consider refinishing when budget allows...worth it. Good job. Looks much more pleasing.

$800? Incredible! Great job. Love the tile floor. Not sure about the shower curtain....a heavy cotton waffle weave in white might be a good choice.

Master bathroom with vintage touch, This is a newly constructed master bathroom. I went with a vintage feel using hexagon tiles on shower floor and adding a claw foot tub. Dark beadboard cabinetry, glass knobs and carrara marble counters. I was inspired by a recent stay at Watch Hill's newly rebuilt Oceanhouse Hotel in Rhode Island.

SMALL BATHROOM SOLUTIONS, So you're renting, and the bathrooms aren't quite the same size as what you use to have? Lack of storage space? Lack of wall space? Just lack of space - period? Here's a few small changes I made to one of our now small bathrooms. In our FL townhome before, we had 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms, offering both space + storage. Now we've gone to two, probably equally the size of our master bathroom before. A small space transformation like this can be done in a day. It's simple enough for a rental, or even a home staging if you need to sell. If you're looking for a simple weekend project for your home, this would be a great project to do, plus maybe add stencil or stripes to the walls for extra wow.
