Our master bathroom is completely red. And not just red but an ugly shade of red. From the floor tile to the shower tile (floor to ceiling as well as the area around the tub. It also has wall mirrors all around, rusty gold faucet in the tub, silver faucet in the sink and a 24 inch snake-like shapeable plastic shower head. Also the toilet is hidden in a small spot behind the shower wall.

I agree, it is A LOT of red! If you can't swing a remodel at this time, embrace it. Bring the red up onto the walls with artwork and display pieces. Bring the wall color onto the floor with rugs. Bring balance to the room and it might work to mute the visual impact of the red. Good luck!

Aaaccckkk! I'm so sorry -- the red really is terrible! If you have a small budget for fixing it up, look into having the tub and shower tile reglazed in white [same companies who redo tubs]. Then chip out the floor and replace it with an inexpensive neutral tan. Those two things would make it liveable for awhile. Then save or get a loan for a complete gut job. Plan a better layout, fix the leaking pipes, and replace the giant tub with a free-standing soaker. It's a big space, it could be fabulous. If you see any contests for Ugliest Bathroom Ever, enter!
