Small powder room update on a small budget, Small powder room off our laundry room. , Bathrooms Design
SMALL BATHROOM SOLUTIONS, So you're renting, and the bathrooms aren't quite the same size as what you use to have? Lack of storage space? Lack of wall space? Just lack of space - period? Here's a few small changes I made to one of our now small bathrooms. In our FL townhome before, we had 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms, offering both space + storage. Now we've gone to two, probably equally the size of our master bathroom before. A small space transformation like this can be done in a day. It's simple enough for a rental, or even a home staging if you need to sell. If you're looking for a simple weekend project for your home, this would be a great project to do, plus maybe add stencil or stripes to the walls for extra wow. From disaster to Master, My 1980's builder grade bathroom made me blue. So I made IT blue!, Bathrooms Design
Bathroom reno, I decided to convert the second full bathroom into a shower, as my master bathroom already has a Jacuzzi tub. While at it, an adjacent bedroom lost its closet to accommodate full size washer and dryer.
The shower took the space previously occupied by a standard bathtub, but was widened about 8", rainforest shower head installed from the ceiling, as well as two pot lights. All lights are on dimmers, and to break the sterile modernist look, a small crystal fixture is installed. The tiles - dark grey granite used to line the inside of the shower including the ceiling and also on the floor, and mosaic glass tile used to create a visual of a waterfall. The walls are painted in a color to match the mosaic tile. Any color variation on the picture - due to use of flash. Not well seen on the pictures, due to flash reflection - a side bar with a hand held shower ( on the right)., Bathrooms Design
