We went from 1940's - 1950's pink and gray to a 1930's vintage bathroom. The original pedestal sink was in the basement when we purchased the house. Friends were throwing out the clawfoot and said we could take it for free. My husband sanded all the mutli-colored paint layers and primed/painted the exterior black. We didn't touch the interior. I lined the shelf with some antique and replica bottles/toiletries

This bathroom is in a historic mansion in Massachusetts and is used by brides for wedding day preparation. Freehand painted cream and beige stripes bring the eye up to a trellis patterned ceiling. Chinoiserie elements in the fabric sink skirt and gold bamboo etagere.
