This little half bath had to be altered a bit to make way for a door to the new laundry. The original sink had to be moved so we built a little alcove in the wall (which was old closet space to make room for the sink and vanity. I tiled the sink area with a tumbled stone tile with glass.

What a great use of a small space. It looks clean and contemporary. I know someone said the tile is "too busy" but it really makes the bathroom and adds that "Wow".

What an amazing job of giving such a small space the WOW factor. The tile effect gives a very high tech-contemporary feel and is a work of art in and of itself! By keeping the remainder of the room in calm/serene tones and sleak lines brings everything in balance. Awesome work!!!

Happy Laundry/Mud Room!, My new laundry/mud room!! This use to be a covered, open deck area. The floor is now a concrete slab that has been stained and sealed and we added a door to the outside. Loose Tile = Changed style!!, I went to re-caulk my guest bath tub and discovered I had loose tiles...and behind them, water! So an unexpected bathroom make-over had to happen! The tub got completely re-tiled in travertine and glass/metal border, then the countertop didnt match! So out with the old and dated and in with more travertine and glass. Then the cabinets needed painted, so out with the white and in with a super dark brown! Alot of work for a few loose tiles! :~), Bathrooms Design

Master bathroom with vintage touch, This is a newly constructed master bathroom. I went with a vintage feel using hexagon tiles on shower floor and adding a claw foot tub. Dark beadboard cabinetry, glass knobs and carrara marble counters. I was inspired by a recent stay at Watch Hill's newly rebuilt Oceanhouse Hotel in Rhode Island.

SMALL BATHROOM SOLUTIONS, So you're renting, and the bathrooms aren't quite the same size as what you use to have? Lack of storage space? Lack of wall space? Just lack of space - period? Here's a few small changes I made to one of our now small bathrooms. In our FL townhome before, we had 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms, offering both space + storage. Now we've gone to two, probably equally the size of our master bathroom before. A small space transformation like this can be done in a day. It's simple enough for a rental, or even a home staging if you need to sell. If you're looking for a simple weekend project for your home, this would be a great project to do, plus maybe add stencil or stripes to the walls for extra wow. Half Bath Remodel, Bath vanity custom built from scratch with maple hardwood. Installed mosaic tile counter top with top mount sink.
