This is a bedroom I decorated in our guest house. The space is used most by my mother-in-law when she visits and I really want her to have a space that she can enjoy. The room is small. I know people say don't paint a small room a dark color but if the paint is matte and the trim is light and you use accents to brighten it up ( in this case I used mirrors then you can get away with it. Don't be afraid to experiment ..it's just paint. The walls are a dark brown. The amoire I made by combining three amoires from Target to make two amories...one for the bed room and one for the guest house living room. I'll post those pictures in a minute. This room was done on a small budget. Hence the Target reference. The "fandelier" is something I cooked up 10 years ago. I entered it in a contest about 5 years ago and have since seen it knocked off. tsk tsk. Anyway it's just a fan painted silver then leafed. I wired crystals to it. Not all that complicated but when I wanted to buy one 10 years ago there were none to be found.
