I wanted to create a French country inspired bedroom. The upper walls were textured with Venetian Plaster paint and stenciled with fleur de lis. The blue metal side table, rocker and mirror were purchased at the local antique mall. I added comfy bedding and voila! Hope you like it!

Blue office makeover, This is a really small space...but perfect for a small home office. I reprinted the top of the desk and stenciled fleur de lis on it. I purchased an old dresser from Craigslist for $20 and reprinted it antique white, then decoupaged the front using lace-looking scrap booking paper. I also decoupaged the file cabinet with wrapping paper. I purchased a window seat from Craigslist for $30 and repainted it, took off the front doors, put contact paper on the inside and made a new cushion. I also repainted a mirror I had and decoupaged vintage look numbers on it. The room was repainted light blue...my favorite color. All in all it cost me less than $200!, Home Offices Design

Guest Room Makeover, French Country, After redoing my bedroom, I decided to redo my guest bedroom. I wanted to keep the French Country theme. Armoire Makeover!, I have had so many people comment on my nice bedroom...if only I did something else with the armoire. Well....I totally agreed! Therefore...over 4th of July I sanded it, primed it, painted it, glazed it and added new knobs and embellishments. I think it looks a lot better with my French country theme. Curb Appeal?, Trying to convert a rather drab front exterior of house to more curb appeal with more interest and color. Used black mulch, pea gravel and lava rock. Planted impatients, installed trellis with clematis and other vines with some other accent plants. Purchase wrought iron bench and planter at antique store for $70, spray painted black. Added wreath and wall decor purchased on sale. Fountain purchased at Lowe's but decided to use as planter. Did this all myself in a couple of days. Other suggestions, etc will be appreciated. My Little French/Italian Kitchen, While averaging 95 degree heat for the past couple of months, I decided to redo my kitchen (nice COOL project!). Six weeks later and having been a weekend warrior, I have 90% completed the project. I repainted and glazed the cabinets and pantry, tiled the backsplash, painted the walls, added stencils, and fabric valance which matches the chair cover. GUEST ROOM READY, After Hurricane Sandy in 2012, I made a major purge of closets and storage areas around here I made donations to local thrift establishments and sent donations to New Jersey Sandy Survivors. With the spaces being cleared, it made it easier to get the house holiday & guest ready. Using items I already had plus some pieces I had collected from thrift, I was able to convert the last room in our rental home into a guest space for under $450. Mixing in wood pieces and collected baskets added texture plus helped warm the otherwise grey + black + white space. I created another gallery wall with photos I captured in Florida & framed - a nice little escape for us here in AZ. Because most pieces were already on hand - minus the sleep sofa - I was able to get this space done in a day. What helped a lot was the existing neutral foundation of gray walls and the beige carpet.
