I painted the furniture in this room as well, I sanded it lightly at first to make the primer adhere, then I used a primer tinted to the color of a Lowes paint, a color called Fired Earth, then I painted on the Fired Earth in a Satin. I am glad you liked the room!! Good luck!

I just saw this room while searching for bedroom ideas. We are starting a Major remodel after Chistmas including a Kitchen, Master Bedroom and Master Bath. I LOVE this room. I have Oak furniture, but am thinking about painting it a Dark Espresso and using the color scheme you have. Any idea on the furniture? I LOVE the wall.....very stunning!!!!

Such a warm room, it looks great. My daughter is going away to college in a few weeks and I want to update her room and this would be great since she doesn't have a headboard or footboard. Her dresser and night stand are Jessica McClintock (off white do you have any suggestions for me? I know she would really like the colors.

If you use Behr, Sage Gray 710-F and the green color on the ceiling is Behr Aspargus

Karen this room is gorgeous! Our cottage in San Francisco was built in 1908 and the bedroom has wainscoting. I've always struggled with what to do with it. This is an outstanding idea. I looked up Porter Paints and, unfortunately, they are not available in my area either. What are similar Behr's colors for the ceiling and lower walls? Thanks for your help!

Hi Kimberly, The paint color is called Georgian Silver 507-4 by Porter paints. I see you are in Utah and I don't think they carry Porter paints in your area, so the closest color match in Behr paint (Home Depot Brand is Sage Gray 710F-4. It really takes on a blue color when the light hits it just so you know. Good luck and hopefully you can stop sampling. Depending on the color of the wall you are sampling on, it can mess up how the color will look until the whole wall is painted. So take that into consideration, and make sure you look at the sample with at least 2 coats.

You inspired me enough to become a member so I could comment on your gorgeous bedroom! I am so glad you took the plunge & went with green on your ceiling...blue would be so predictable wouldn't it? It all looks amazing! I will use yours as an example when I get ready to re-do my Br. You did a totally fantastic job!
