Thanks so much for the comments. I agree that they are probably too many mirrors in the room (4 of them!. I do need to find some other art work in put in there instead of all of the mirrors. The small shelf piece- I did paint the back of it a light purple/lavendar to play off of the special pieces of pottery that are very meaningful to me- they are light purple, blue, and green.

Overall good work. My thoughts on bamboo mirrors need to go. Your bookcase seems out of sorts. I would do larger maybe even from ceiling to floor. Also, drapes are lovely but seem to dressy for room. It would have been nice to have material from foot rest. Just a thought. Maybe even spray painting blinds blue to match walls?

It's a lovely room. Excellent execution. For me however, the two bamboo mirrors add nothing. They don't quite fit the space they hang in, and they don't reflect anything interesting. It's a beautiful wall without them and I don't think they are needed. They are cool enough to find another place to hang if you have a mind to do so. Great job.

Beautiful, comfortable room! Love your DIY mirrors! Only two suggestions. Looks to me like the back of the bookshelf is either open or is painted a more lavender color than the wall. I would paint it to match the blue or, if it is open, consider backing it with a sheet of beadboard panel painted white. Think about spanning the top of your little table with a second piece of glass, resting on the upright pieces. Then cover the bottom glass with a solid shell-encrusted effect. Great job!

You have created an absolute oasis of calming luxury. My husband and I also have been accumulating our own treasures and are in the process of putting them together. It's amazing to me the things people get rid of that still have lots of life in them.
