ok, i saw this post this morning and commented on it about 11 hours ago...still nothing here! i guess i'll try again. i think you have a great looking space, and i like the animal head, but i don't love it and the burlap squares were they are currently hung. i'd love to see you instead hang a horizontally aligned piece of art with an organic feel...look at art.com's abstract landscapes. i'd look for a piece with the neutrals you like and some touches of blues and greens, which will add a light and airy [perhaps even beachy] feel to the space. then add grander lamps with white shades, white shams to the bed and some of the blues and greens to the bedding as well as some other color coordinating art to other walls to create a nice flow and solidify the blues and greens in your palette. it's a great space, just needs a tad of color....remember capricorn...blue is the color of the sky and water and green is the color of live foliage...both also earth shades! ;]

i like the animal head, but not here on this wall. the wall already has alot of corners and angles, and adding more corners and angles within the existing blocks isn't working. a great place to start would be to find an organic [not geometric] horizontally aligned piece of art [look at the abtract landscapes at art.com!] to set centered over the bed. within the art you will likely find some neutrals, but also some subtle color...blues or greens are still "earth tones" [plant life and water!] and can brighten up the space...they will lend a lighter and airier, sometimes even beachy feel to the overall space. also, look for grander scaled lamps with white shades and add white shams and touch of the colors inspired by the art to the bedding. add more art to other walls in coordinating themes and/or palettes as the bed-head art and repost. it's already a great space, with loads of potential! :] can't wait to see you wake it up! ;]
