I'm trying to redesign our guest bedroom to be a little more fun and a little more unique. We have the same modern sophisticated style throughout our entire house....soft blues, browns, green, tans, etc. I wanted something different, so I went with the peacock (with purple as inspiration. I want to know if you think this Overstock peacock rug is too "teen bopper" for a sophisticated guest bedroom....and whether you think it looks good with the rest of the décor I have already put in the room. Thanks!

My bedroom needed lift and I wanted it to feel relaxing and warm. I never actually made it my own since I moved in 2011. Needless to say, this has been a work in process. After the carpet was replaced with laminate it was time to overhaul.

I added tropical bright colors, created a fabric headboard, added mix match pillows, placed wooden frames around fabric, made a suspended wooden canopy with shear curtains, soft throw and added plants and candles. (teal, coral and white were my primary colors

Now I go to bed and feel like I am on vacation staying in my own tropical suite. :

I wanted a coastal feel without a beach theme. I painted the walls and some of the furniture. The drapes, the bedding, and most of the accessories are new. I didn't spend a lot!! It is such a relaxing space.
