This bedroom which is quite large (appx 35 x 26! was a challenge at best. Enjoy what we've done, and know that it is not quite done yet! Footboard bench is on the way, along with a beautiful chandelier. Enjoy!! I am!

Spare Room that was used as a junk room for many years. I already had the futon, pillows, bookcase, lamps and tall table. The round mirror was passed down from my great grandmother It is about 50 years old. I purchased the side table at the salvation army for 23.00 and painted it. I purchased a few decoartions at TJ Max and the large daisy picture today at the salvation army for 13.00. I painted, replaced door knobs and light/plug switches to white. I built the valance for 30.00. It looks much cleaner and fresher. Someone might even want to stay a night in there. Thank you for looking.

I created this space using warm jewel tones in green, purple ,red and gold. I combined different textures for depth. I also combined old with new for visual appeal. I'm not sure what type of window treatment to use. I was thinking of a wood blind with no other treatment. I would appreciate any suggestions.

We currently added space to make a larger bedroom and master bath. The wall color is called Tree Branch from Home hardware and the bedding is from JC Penney. I am currently looking for rug and night tables to complete the look I want for the room. The furniture is 18th century antique. Any suggestions or comments for night tables is very welcome.

Ok, after my 1st post everyone's complaint was the length and color of my sheer curtains, (they looked very funny because they were 63" long on a tension rod in the window. all that because my landlord is a pain in the butt I wanted it to have a coastal look and I had brown sheers, so I changed to white and I didn't like, I changed it to pale blue and I didn't like, so after all the stores hating me for so many returned products I decided to go back to brown. I did decide to put a few holes that I was not allowed on the wall to be able to use 84" long sheers. (I had them in tension rods because my landlord does not allow mounting and painting at all. Someone suggested command hooks and that was a wonderful idea the problem was I could not fit my rods in the hooks so I went to the hardware section and bough tiny mug hooks and opened them a little to be able to fit the rods in them, so now the holes on the wall are so tiny that I can take care of them later and I really doubt that my landlord will ever notice that. After doing that, I still wasn't in love with them, so I made my own valances for them and OH GOD, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE WHOLE ROOM!!! The valances added so much height to the walls and the best part they didn't cost me one cent, I made them with all the stuff I already had at home. (We are in a very tight budget because I am a stay home mom and we are trying to save money to buy our own place so everything HAS to be cheap!!! I loved the brown sheers just because I cannot paint my walls and they match the bedroom so well and they come to life against my plain white walls, so instead of coastal, I am going with the nautical theme now, under that theme I can keep my dark furniture and I just need a few more things to make it more nautical and voile, I will have a "beach" themed bedroom without having to change my whole furniture and I won't have to have light colored sheers that are just not flattering against white walls. What do you think? There's one wall behind the tv that I need to add some decor to it, later I was thinking about making some wine crate nightstands add some decorative boats or some nautical decor to them and I want to keep everything blue and brown. They are my favorite color period!
