My 8 year old son wanted to upgrade from "little boy" trucks and we wanted something that would last for awhile. He is a 6th level green belt so a karate room was the perfect solution. We used paint to add impact including the Chinese symbol for dragon (his birth year which we projected on the wall to paint (as I don't know Chinese at all!. We spent $200 at Ikea for the fun desk duvay covers curtains and the rug. The entire room cost $250 PLUS my free labor. He LOVES it! We LOVE it!

we r getting ready to do a karate room for our 10 yr old son. i love the colors u have used in this room but one suggestion in which i plan to use is add pic in a large size maybe poster size of your son in his uniform we plan one of a focus on his belt, two with a universal stand, our suits now r red so this will be great but a black and white photos would be super as well.

Sherwin Williams brand - the light gray is called "Essential Gray" (3 walls and the dark gray is called "Mink" (wall behind the bed. Happy painting!

Yes that is an Ikea bed but I am not sure if they sell that one anymore. We purchased it about 4 years ago.
