Thank you Barbara Bee - The taller picture & frame was the first piece of art my husband & I bought 36 years ago, so that's special and I'm leaving that as is.You are right the other piece is dated and old fashioned, it should be! It's a 1920's antique Chrysanthemum print. Up close though you can't see it in the picture, there is black aging on the gold frame. I have a few pieces of antique furniture throughout the house and want to blend a bit of the new with a few of the old! The hearth is green, dark red and black trim, all slate.

I love your fireplace but don't love the way you decorated the shelf. I think maybe one picture, the taller one, then something else on the opposite side...candlesticks or a vase. Also, if the frame was black it would look better because of the black hearth. The gold looks a bit dated and old fashioned. You can spray paint the frame.

Don't know but the site was monitored pretty poorl,y if at all, over the weekend. They may post as comments on your home spot & not under your pics. Some may not be under your first pic. Check all of them.
