OH MY GOODNESS! This room is one of my favs!! Excellent job! It is so my taste! Check out my posts. I need to know who the artist is who did the prints on either side of your cabinet? Also, those lamp shades are so beautiful! Where did you find them! I wish I had your talent for arranging the cabinet like you did. I have a buffet with hutch in my din. rm. and am having trouble filling it in. I can't seem to acheive the look that I want, which is like your room! Thanks so much for sharing! Romantic Living Room, Antique gold, Ikat prints, French country, Tuscan flair... I just can't put my finger on it. Its me and I love it. Welcome to our living room. Its the first room off the entry. This is a multi function room because of the way we created two areas by backing the couches to one another. It was a daring move and its a bit smooshie in the room, but it works and we love no fear decorating. Took a chance and love it. The table between the sofas was custom made by my husband. The chandelier in the room has remote controlled candles. Turn them on and off with a touch of a button. The drapes are custom and were symmetrically hung to exact measurements using CAD on the computer. The corbels were from Architectural Depot.com and the mini topiaries are from Raz Imports. Got to love ebay and etsy. The entertainment unit is in the process of being turned into a wine cabinet. It was one of the first pieces my husband and I ever bought together and I don't have the heart to get rid of it. The couches are originally from Raymour and Flanigan. They were in perfect condition (imagine that) so we simply ordered new pillows to update the look. Thanks for looking!, Living Rooms Design

Kitchen/Dining Room Makeover, We have spent the majority of the past year updating and renovating our home. My husband, with the help of his father occasionally, has done all of the work himself. We have a combination kitchen and dining room; our updates focused on the dining room. We took out our bar to create more definition between rooms and replaced it with a wall, repainted, and changed the decor. small dining area..., As always,decorating my rental apt on a very small budget.....My kitchen lacked "storage" {we can't add/remove extend or do much to our kitchen} so.my hubby and I debated on whether to add a buffet table or built benches... We opted for benches because I figured if we added more furniture it would look/feel crowded and cluttered,.by adding the benches it allowed for much needed storage and seating

I'm thinking of replacing the DIY CLOCK with mirror and sconces or large wall art but for now clock stays until I find that "special" something...

P.S.My hubby built the benches,added wainscoting,chair rail,window casing and framed dining area opening with molding
