Maybe you could do what I did. I put the rod the outside across the window opening.

Your bay windows can be dressed in different ways. Some folks use individual roman shades on each window. Some folks put drapery panels on both sides of each window. Some folks would attach one single rod on the flat wall inside the room, and hang panels only to the sides of the entire bay. Still other folks would install some plantation shutters on the lower half of each window and get rid of the blinds. There are all sorts of options, which you could check out on this site under window treatments.

I love your art! I think you can add window treatments to that window without a problem, something warm in color like the art and table!

The room would look more formal with a regular dining table, instead of a pub table, but I've noticed a few folks have done this same thing. A large area rug under the table and chairs and beyond, would help warm it up. Dressing the windows would finish off the space. You can take color cues from your painting.

I have many basket windows through out the house and I keep hearing put curtains on them. With the shape of the basket being 3 angles how might that look or be done. Never seen this done so I don't know. Is it customary to put curtains on a basket window?
