I just don't think I can bring myself to paint new furniture even if I didn't pay alot for it. The hutch color matches the table top. I didn't get a creamy colored hutch because I didn't want it to be too matchy matchy.

BarbaraBee is right - your china cabinet is a Federal style and your table and chairs are a French country style. Painting the china cabinet would definately unify the room. Then I'd add some little shades to your chandelier to warm it up a bit, too. Great start!

Love your dining set and chandelier. Nice floors too and great window. Only there a week so you have lots more to do but so far so good. Now don't freak out but I would absolutely paint that china hutch to match your table and chairs. A creamy white. As it just doesn't go. I know that's a big undertaking, but you've got 2 different styles going on right now and neither work together.

Master Bedroom, New Bed. Any Ideas?, We replaced our other bed with a simple frame and headboard. The room was just too small for a headboard and footboard. We are still going to paint when we can decide on a color, and replace all the molding with some that is new and white. We also hope to replace the carpet with hardwood floors.
