I actually like the wall colors - both of them. The white is in keeping with the white of your chairs and the purple is a very modern color, too. What needs to be changed is the light fixture, the rug and the mirror frame. You can repaint the mirror frame silver to match the silver in your table for very little cost. The light fixture needs to be a modern nickle/chrome/silver one with white/frosted glass shades. Your rug should be a bold modern graphic print - even a zebra print would look great - and it could bring in a third (or fourth color. Some pretty silvery gray silk (or silk-looking curtains would complete the look.

Very neat, very clean looking, but overall it looks like some very modern table and chairs was set down in what is otherwise a very traditional space. I think if you mixed in a few more modern pieces such as a new light fixture,mirror, and art, it could work.Also I would change that wine colored accent wall,and do the whole room a more neutral color.

Eshii12: Great job with your dining room. If you are asking for advice, the only change I would do is paint the white wall a color from your rug (beige or cream tone. This would soften your room and be more calming...just my idea. Take it or leave it! Love the idea of the bigger picture on top to change it up from the ordinary!
