small dining area..., As always decorating my rental apt on a very small budget.....My kitchen lacked "storage" {we can't add/remove extend or do much to my kitchen} so.my hubby and I were debating on whether to add a buffet table or built benches... We opted for benches because if we add more furniture it would look look/feel crowded and cluttered,.by adding the benches it allowed for much needed storage and seating

I'm thinking of replacing the DIY CLOCK with mirror and sconces or large wall art but for now clock stays until I find that "special" something...

P.S.My hubby built the benches, added wainscoting, chair rail, window casing and framed dining area opening with molding

My Sunny Space, We recently added a sunroom/dining room space and I love it. I love to entertain and my guest can enjoy this sunny area while I prepare dinner. My cats love it too!
I know the Dining Room set is older but it is from Ikea and it is 26 years old and still working great. , Dining Rooms Design
Tuscan living room in progress, My weekend project to make my living room into a Tuscan retreat with 3D stone tile.

As I am finding out this is more than just a one weekend project., Dining Rooms Design
Eclectic Dining Banquette, Open Dining Area - Adjacent to Kitchen Island: Great additional seating that can be used as formal or informal. A round glass table makes for wonderful traffic flow, takes up less physical and visual space. Found Banquette at Home Goods (wrong color) and made slip cover to match color scheme. Table base purchased separately in a clearance room and (2) large round beveled glass top., Dining Rooms Design
Spare Country Modernism, This is a house owned by a few friends of mine who live in the countryside of Massachusettes. They have beautiful land--multiple acres--and they wanted their house to be more open & light-drenched etc. When I was visiting them theyd recently brought in an interior designer from Boston (Stacy Curran of South Shore Decorating) and I was really inspired by the starkness and clarity that the new design created in their dining room's space. The flat planar--almost geometrical--quality of the modernist furniture, echoes, the lush grassy plain outside of their window. , Dining Rooms Design
