I'm in the south also and we call it a spider plant as well. Mine are planted as accents in all my front gardens. We had two snow occasions last winter and I have never covered or removed these plants from the garden. They kinda die back in the winter but the have come back in full force in the spring/summer. I found they multiply very quickly and will spread through out the garden and get extremely dense if not watched. Hope this helps.

I hope 10 for a dollar was cheap then, some are 8 inches high and some are about a foot high .I have yuccas do they plant the same way .I live in VA close to NC state line

I call this a spider plant. But I have heard it called an airplane plant. No clue what the scientific name is. But it's an outdoor plant here in the south but I bring them in during the winter. They don't do well inside but with some effort I keep then alive but almost in a dormant state. Then I put them back outside as soon as possible in the spring. The little shoots of new growth can easily be started as new plants....just pluck them and put them in a glass of water for a few days to get the roots going then plant. I have the spider plants in hanging baskets and they just keep growing and flowing!

Very pretty - it could be a varigated yucca or a varigated iris. I believe it is an outside plant though.

Not sure if there inside or outside plants .Do not want them to freeze there leaves off .The leaves are soft not hard and stiff like my yuccas
