Hi Karen,

The right side (facing the house took a month and the left took me about 5 months (the shed and foundation took longer than I planned. I have one helper(brother in law. Both of us have no experience at all prior to this and we only work on weekend. I have to modify the plans of the shed to have the garbage can storage, and hose storage. Also modify the square footage to meet the space.

I've learned everything on the DIYnet and Youtube. On pouring concrete, I staked out at Starbucks for a few days where they were doing some concrete works for the sidewalk. And we tested out by doing an 4' x 8' pad on the side of the house.

A Neglected 1940's Garden Restored and Now Vibrant and Alive!, Once a beautiful bird sanctuary, my garden was a tremendous challenge to bring it back to life and not only make it a joyous place to be and walk through, but also a quiet serene place as a part of our home. Late Spring early Summer, what a wonderful time of year this is. There's the freshness and exuberance of spring yet fullness of summer. It seems as if the garden has been preparing all year for this very moment. You really cant believe how the garden has changed at this time of year, a change that really has an impact. Growth is at its optimum until the summer heat kicks in. The fresh green growth really brings out the colours of the flowers I think.
