After last year's flood, we have been in the process of fixing our entire home. I asked my daughter, who like her brother has been through more than a 5 yr old should have to go through, how she would envision her room. She said she wanted pink and purple walls and "other girly colors" She also wanted a princess bed. I found a 140 yr old 4 poster bed and had it re-done and a 1950's dresser that had been reporposed to build around. We are still working, but this is where we are today. She loves it and says it's her favorite place in our new, old house:
