For my daughter's 5th birthday, she decided she wanted a "new room" instead of a big party. We spent 3 days transforming her bubble gum pink bedroom into a music themed haven that even I would love to call my own! Everything we used were things we already had around the house besides the paint and pillows. I made the record bowls, record frame, and mirrored letters. It was a lot of work, but worth every second!

"Paris Chic" on a budget- Oh la la, Re-decorated my friends daughters room on a budget of $500. The only thing she supplied was the bed, everything else was coming out of the budget. I had to purchase: a dresser, 2 chairs, small table, bedding, decorative elements, paint & Supplies. I purchased 2 thrift store chairs for $8 each, that I painted and reupholstered to fit the theme. I also found a solid pine dresser on craigslist for $50 that I painted white and gave new hardware too. I hand painted the wooden letters that I got unpainted for $1.50 each (50% off) at Hobby Lobby. I also created 3 tulle pom poms in coordinating colors to create a whimsical feel ($10 each). The bedding I got off Walmart.com on clearance for $25 per bed-in-a-bag!!! I bought the mirror for $8, the lamp for $5, and the ceramic sculptures for $10, at a thrift store. All were given new life that added to the girly feel of the room. The rest of my decorative elements came from thrift stores and Hobby Lobby. The rest of my budget went to paint and supplies. All in all I think this room came out amazing considering the small budget I had to work with. The home owners were ecstatic, and in the end that is all that matters! :), Girls' Rooms Design

HELP! Paris the City of Love, HELP! Have hit a bit of designer's block and could use some suggestions to finish this room and have it look fabulous. This is my girls bedroom ages 9 and 12. Wanting to stick with the Parisian theme, just really want this room to look polished when it is finished. It's still is a work in progress.
