I'm designing my daughter's room as it's being built and I really wanted it to be special. She's an artistic and dreamy girl, and when choosing colors and styles I went with the theme "What Dreams May Come". I'm using high saturated colors and adding a lot of whimsy. This desk is the first of my overhauls. I found it at an online (local garage sale for $35. I prepped all surfaces, added three carved wood scrolls, painted it "Lotus" purple, faux painted with a rosy lavender and then sealed it all with Shellac (except the writing surface is Polyurethane. I lined the drawers with craft paper and dumped polyurethane over them.. no crayons ruining THESE drawers!! : I like how it turned out and I'll post more pictures of projects as they are finished until I have the room completed!
