This is my family room. There are still some changes to come (I have ordered a chandelier ceiling fan light kit and some more pillows. I am trying to give of modern spin to Hollywood regency and still make it family and pet and budget friendly. Broadway,Wizard of Oz and Audrey Hepburn have been combined with Art Deco/Noveau with contemporary touches.

this space is my dorm room at college. Limited by the space -- full bed desk dresser chair and 89 square feet of space and concrete walls and vertical blinds this room was a challenge. i am a graphic design student with a love of eastern cultures/art so i used some of these elements to warm the concrete space.

With a Brother soon to be here my granddaughter wanted a big sister room. Damask, stripes,polka dots & rhinestones were the inspiration for this bedroom. I painted two shades of pink stripes on the wall one color satin finish and the other in a gloss finish. I created a scalloped border around the room with a circular sponge and filled the space in with polka dots. I used fabric patterns of black& white stripes, Black & white damask and black &white polka dots to create all the curtains and to add accents to the damask comforter. I created window cornices for the double window and one for a beautiful background for her bed. I created a vanity out of an end table with an adorable mini chandelier to accent the area. I also created a matching doll bed for her dolls which was the perfect finish for an Amazing Big Sister Bedroom.

In our current house we have limited space and will be moving soon to a much bigger, newer home thankfully! However we did our best with the baby's room and I think it came out great! We went off a babies R us theme and just stuck to traditional blues. He seems to be the happiest in his room, and that's all that matters!

I saw a space simular to this once and wanted to create my own...my dad and I built this together and I love every min that I get to spend in it. It is a great space to go and just relax, read, or just take in the lake. It is a great space to entertain outdoors also.
