Not much different than last year, but instead of just pink for my daughter, this year she wanted green ornaments as well. Now keep in mind please this is in her living area.....She is 11, I don't have room for a tree upstairs anyway, so we create it for her! She loves it!

The never ending project....., Well, finally I am getting there. After divorcing, moving, and now renting.....I have lived here for a year and a half now. And this bedroom has been a problem. It has to hold the office too since there is no other space in the home that will. (the bedroom is quite large, and the rest of the rooms are quite small, go figure....)) I was bothered by the gold trim around the mirrored closet doors, and thought I definitely needed to do something about it! After further pondering, and the endless possibilities, I decided to leave well enough alone and incorporate just a little gold elsewhere too. Now please keep in mind, the file cabinet that has the white runner over it and the extra chair will be gone. I need some muscles to move the file cabinet. I would eventually after those 2 things are moved, would like to get a small comfy chair to put there. , Bedrooms Design

~*No RoOm For A TreE Up HerE!*~, My living room decorated for the Holidays! Definitely had to make due with what I already had with the exception of the small wreath on the mirror. I bought the wreath base at the Dollar Tree and then used what I had to create the wreath. Even though I don't have room for a tree up here I at least wanted it to look somewhat festive for the Holiday's. Maybe eventually I could get one of those kinda skinny trees for up here. Matching nightstands---But....., My mom was kind enough to give me her previous nightstands. I am thankful since they actually match! But, that being said....need new hardware. Is it going to look dumb to have chrome hardware on this type of wood, or would that fly as "transitional?" I still have not done anything with my ugly mirrored doors that you can see in my other bedroom posts. Just not sure which direction to go with that. I can't stand the doors themselves. They come off the track all the time. Wondering if different type of doors would be better for that. , Bedrooms Design

The part I love, and the part I HATE! , Made some minor changes to Living room since last posting with things I just keep to reuse when I get tired of looking at whatever is currently there! So, I love my seating area, but the half wall to the kitchen.......Nope, not so much. And I have yet to come up with something I like for it. Can't rearrange due to size/cable outlets/vents/front door placement/etc. Anybody have any ideas for the half wall? Maybe I just have to much crap on it. ~*Barely*~ Eat in kitchen! Works for us! , No extra dining room so have to have the table in this small kitchen! Got the table on Craigslist for $30.00. I gave the guy $35.00 though for delivering it! Painted cabinets all white.(they were white centers and golden oak everywhere else.) ) Added the hardware. (there was none) ) Replaced the lights. The one over the sink is an ebay find, and the one over the table is Overstock. Installed the microwave over the stove, (also craigslist, $40.00,) ) as what was there before was a really bad shelf with a microwave that is supposed to sit on the counter! Backsplash is bamboo, with multiple layers of polyurethane over it. So no worries about water splashing on it! And finally today I installed a new faucet! The one that was there was just a basic stick looking faucet. I don't care for those. So, I still have to sew just some black trim to the bottom of the curtains, but other than that, I am finally pleased! , Kitchens Design

S~UgG~eStIonS please and thank you. , Pretty much bare yard. That's a good thing in a way......LOL. I know it will take a while, but this exterior needs some personality. So I started now. Anybody have any suggestions for some easy flowers for the center of what I have done so far????? I am thinking echinacea with moonbeam coreopsis in front of those. I know annuals bloom more and longer, but easy upkeep is definitely needed. I'll use the pots for annuals........ Gotta say though, like working with a blank yard rather that a really old yard that has way to much overgrown and costs hundreds of dollars to have some things removed. So blank is good!!!!!! ExTrEmElY small LIVING ROOM- , Well, since I moved I have been slowly plucking away at each room. This living room has been so difficult. It is about 15x12.5 ft. It is even smaller than my living room before I moved. None the less, this is what I have come up with so far. I don't know what style it is, I guess it's a mix! Finally! Framed!, I had posted my bathroom asking for frame suggestions a while back- After considering the suggestions, cost and keeping with my style, I chose to do a tile frame. The tile was supposed to go on a table top at my previous home but wasn't able to move it as it would not fit in my current home. Anyway- I think it looks good with the way I painted the cabinets that were golden oak with white centers previously! I figure it's a good way to add a frame to the typical builder grade bathroom mirror for minimal money and a good look. Tile possibilities are endless--so you could choose whatever you like!, Bathrooms Design

What RUG???, So, after moving around a half a year ago and just getting things "organized" so to speak. So yes, just one photo, but this photo is the basis of the entire room----anybody have any area rug ideas. Wide Zebra? Houndstooth? Neutral? -InPuT- Please and Thank you., So my life has taken some extremely drastic turns in the last year and a half now. Long story short-new beginnings. So now what I need to know is what color frame for the mirror? Dark espresso, white, what. I do realize this may not be for everybody, but it is me, my expression of myself brought forward through decorating. And for now, I love my giant flowers that were inspired by the hand towels. And no this is not complete, but based on what is showing this will be the general color/style scheme. So what color for framing the mirror???? I'm leaning towards dark espresso. Opinions would be appreciated as I am having difficulty deciding. Teen room with reflection of personality!, This is my nieces bedroom, my sister finished off a basement room for her and had minimal funds for decorating due to the cost necessary to actually finish the basement. So she asked for help. Made her the headboard, did all accessories, spiced up some lamps, a mirror and the nightstands as well as the drama above the bed and the duvet - all of that for less than 250.00! May not be for everybody- but this room totally is a reflection of my niece and her personality! I would have loved to have a room decorated to my taste as a teenager! HEELLLLLPPPP! Confused!, So, some of you may know I am selling my home. Working in the kitchen to make it "sellable." Well, so far I think the sink wall is working, but the nook??????? Now the nook may be what I personally like, but for sale, thinking not so much... what needs to go? The light, the flowers, both? I can't change the table as it is the original to the home and it's darn near the only thing that fits there anyway. This kitchen is much better than before, as there was not even a dishwasher. I will post the complete for sale version of the kitchen when I get it done, but can I get some help with the nook?? Also, do you think the sink wall is ok? Neutralized master., First of all- the rating system- what a joke. Not like my room is a 5, but this very room was once a 2.9. The rating system is abused.
Rate up or down as many x's as you like. Delete your browsing history and if you don't like someone rate them down as has been done to me! That's right, you want a 5 star room. Just keep on deleting your history and rate your room over and over.

Sadly and happily depending upon how I choose to look at it, I am selling my home. 2010 was my worst year of life and I am keeping my head as high as I can considering the circumstances I've been dealt. So I've been busy! Extremely difficult to sort through essentially the buildings of a life. So anyway, I think this is basic enough for buyer's eyes. And Goldie if you happen to see this, I know you say no accent wall, but I think it makes a nice statement. It would be to much to do the entire room that dark color and I like the contrast. If I have an accent wall is this one at least ok?? I'm running out of gas to paint all the time, so I hope it is. , Bedrooms Design

Our summer bathroom!, This is our tiny little bathroom! I know some of you have seen it before with other decor! This bathroom once had green carpet, golden oak vanity and nasty gold faucets. On top of that it had peach and green wallpaper. So the base cabinet was painted and new hardware added, mirror frame painted, new flooring, new toilet and a tile border. The backsplash is bamboo that is sealed! This is the curtain we have had up for spring and summer! Now summer is about gone, so I thought I'd share! , Bathrooms Design

Flashback! , These are just a few of the ways I have had my small bedroom since 2008! Just thought I would share since there are so many new people on RMS. I of course don't love them all now, but it has been a learning process! Once lilpolarbear (a fabulous RMSer) said I should post all my bedroom redos. So anyway here are a few.
