I think a royal blue door and deep red color on the shutters- keep the white trim. The other comments are right- the boxy hedge detracts from this classic ranch shape- add some contrast in shape- and maybe a lighter, more chartreuse green to play off the richness of all of that pinkish red brick... Or you could think about painting the brick...

The door is the least of your problems. The hedge is. My house had much of the same problems. Horizontal lines and a hedge to make it more horizontal. I realize money is an issue but if you could even prune the hedge to a more billowy form, take a few out inbetween and add other forms of texure and height in your folliage you will see the potential in your home's exterior.

Forgot to mention....change those hedges! They are too boxy, go with shrubs with more variation in colors and more of a shape like bonsai

Everything on the house is in same color but different shades..Well, I'd do either Black or Dark Burgandy door something in a very rich tone, and if you choose to do it this way whatever color you pick for the door do the other color for the shutters. Normally my rule of thumb would be if my brick was dark I'd go lighter on shutters etc. If the house is light brick go deep dark tones. I'd also use nickel finishes on the hardware.

I would suggest either black shutters and door or black shutters and a bright red door. You really want those items to stand out against that brick. Then accent the door with a brushed nickel kickplate, new nickel lighting and large nickel house numbers to the left of the door where you have the largest space.

That pinky-mauve brick is difficult to decorate around. Personally I don't care for brown and pink. Maybe shiny black shutters and a burgundy door with nickel hardware and lights. Another option would be khaki or sage green - not dark or bright green, but about the same tone as the brick. Good luck!

@decor enthusiast....I totally agree w/ the taking out the hedges and enlarging the porch. That will be done, but right after we remodel the kitchen. : This house needs a lot of updating, but we need to do it in phases. I was thinking of doing a red door and maybe paint the shutters a dark brown. I will post a closer picture today. :P

Looks like the shutters may be the color of the roof. Appears to be a dark mauve or brown. What is your personal favorite color? Will it work with the roof and brick tones? If so, you're always safe and happy with you favorite color. It if is too strong you can get a lighter shade of it for shutters. Then for a pop, go to the opposite side of the color wheel to find a shade for your door. I would pull up the hedge and plant a flower garden in front. The porch needs to be enlarged and "glorified" too. Can't see a walkway, but would want one. Would like to see a close up shot to help you more. You can always google for" images porches" to get ideas - I think you have room to build a really nice covered porch to make your entry beautiful and take it into the present.
