Recently repainted the foundation a medium gray which looks alot better , painted part of the trim with the heart shapes the color of our deck, also the house numbers on the gable are now the color of the shutters. Now my dear wife said : How about removing the tree in front of our living room window and planting a new small tree farther away . The tree is a crabbapple. Plus sometime in the future would like to add new siding. Would like any suggestions or advice. Color choices so far are a soft Taupe with white trim. light colors of grays, blues, or even a light green. Then repainting the shutters and deck. Will probably do all the work ourselves.

I also think the house is cute, and I like the siding color, which seems to have a bit of yellow in it. Perhaps you could paint the foundation a yellow-tinted white that is one or two shades darker. Then you would have the option of painting the deck and rail the same yellow-white shade or go with the cranberry of the shutters. If you ever replace the roof, you might check the light shades of metal roofs, like stone or a yellowish beige. Please post again.

Your house is so cute. I think the dark gray color takes your eye away from the house itself. I think you should just paint the foundation to match the house so that it does not detract from it. Then you need to paint the cute trim on your house to accentuate it - like that part above the front door with the heart cutouts! Paint that, the trim around your front door and your house numbers to match your shutters and you'll be set!
