I finally have a place to do my projects. We incorporated a project/craft table into our home study. We removed the writing desk and replaced it with a project table that I had made. This project table idea came from Pottery Barn and was less expensive to have made.

Christmas Display, This is the first Christmas village I have attempted to display. The apothacary jar is extra large which allows me to display one of the pieces inside. I used an adjustable platter stand to stack the other pieces on top of. I placed cardboard cutout on top of the openings and covered with snow, and angel hair. , Holidays Design

Happy Fall Ya'll 2012, My favorite time of the year! Since last year, we painted the front door black. It really takes a beating from the sun. Made new garland and added burlap ribbon. First College Apartment Bedroom, First college apartment. Furniture included. Purchased comforter set from Overstock.com. Accessories purchased from my favorite stores: Ross, TJ Max, Stein Mart, and Garden Ridge. Nightstand purchased from Hobby Lobby. Made Initial frame on desk. Family Tree, You don't have to have two trees.... one for the designer look and the other for kids. You can put the family ornaments on the tree and still have a cohesive designer look. HELP! Have you seen this rug?, I loved this rug. I inherited my mother's dog when she passed away and the dog loved the rug too. Sadly the dog passed away and the rug went too. I would love to replace it but can not find one I like as much. The rug was originally purchased at Sam's Club and is by Kingsley. If you have seen a rug that is similar please let me know. Teenage Daughter's Room, This is what my daughter's room looks like after we remove her wardrobe from the floor. We recently upsized from a daybed to a full size bed. Lots of pink/purple, zebra, and Audrey Hepburn. All things popular with some young girls today. We used a stencil and gold paint on the back wall. We added a jewel to the center of the design for a little sparkle. The window topper is made out of cardboard box covered with batting and zebra material. The vanity was purchased at Ross and painted black to coordinate better with room. The pics collected over time and also purchased at Ross. guest room, This is my guest room. A little french country and shabby chic. I stripped and painted the accent wall behind the bed. The wall is textured so the stripes aren't perfect but it is consistant. I debated on stripping the whole room. The comforter set was an inexpensive. purchase from TJ Maxx. The curtains appear to be balloon shades but are staight panels that are pinned up. The chair was purchased at a consignment store and has a small stain under the throw blanket. The dresser was purchased at a garage sale. I love designing rooms and enjoy the challenge of creating an expensive look without the expensive price tag. , Bedrooms Design

Hunting, This is what my teenage son's room looks like after I clean it. He enjoys hunting. We recently purchased a complete comforter set from Cabelas.com.He has a xl twin size mattress. Not very easy to find affordable linens. The headboard/footboard was recently purchased on Craigslist and is temporarily resting against wall and bed. Need Help with new home organizing office nook, Just moved into our new home that has this wonderful little built in office nook that is right outside the master bedroom. It's full of cabinet and wall space, but I am a bit overwhelmed with how to utilize it smartly and make it warm and "homey" feeling as well.
