My office is a 9x17 which includes regular office things, along with a shoe holder,a cedar chest, a wardrobe,a coat closet, a wardrobe,a walker,a jacket holder, a front door that goes to the front porch, a space behind the printer that has 3 shelves that go to the LR part of the house, opening about 4 ft x 6 1/2 tall that leads into the Living Room, and to the eat in kitchen. I have wood paneling, and electric conduit coverings that is obvious, along with a wool wall to wall rug that is at least 15 years old which is a shabby rug.

Here is our Den/Library/Home Office still in the works! It is a good size room. Still to add a chaise or some chairs to the empty wall for additional seating.

Office for my husband, and I. Also, this space doubles as a closet and dog room while we are away at work.
Our home office is perfectly positioned in a cove off our bonus room. It features a desk, rehabbed from a 70 year old vanity, as well as a bookcase, re-purposed from an old microwave cart.
Check out how I organized our home office at http://managingthemanor.com.
Just painted and I like the green grey color. Still a work in progress to make the room feel warmer and functional. Also need a good cord management system.
