My kitchen was originally built in 1988. The only thing that had been updated when we purchased it a year ago was the white tile countertops (which a previous owner replaced with granite.
I updated the lighting, fixtures, hardware, cabinets, and backsplash and appliances. I did 100% of the work myself (all while holding down the job of stay-at-home-mom with 2 kids under 6
