Before we had yellow walls, grey formica countertops, raised stencil bricks and grapes on the walls. It was an ugly, ugly kitchen. We changed it up a bit with a cool greenish color on the walls, changed the cabinet hardware, busted up the ceramic tiles and installed the hardwood flooring, along with granite countertops and a granite sink with bronze fixtures! Most of our reno was DIY except for the installation of the countertops and the electrical work where we took the wonderful florescent light box down and added 6 recessed lights, the pendant lights over the island and the light above the sink. Overall, I think the kitchen turned out very pretty and inviting.
