Beautiful light oak cabinets, great counter space to work with, I would add a valance (window topper it wouldn't take away your view at all, I also would add a basket of fresh fruit or some flowers on the countertop to give it a pop!

Little too busy - too many busy patterns. I would put black granite instead....then it will bring cabinet wood grains out. Or, focus on counter top by choosing plain cabinet and tiled floor.

Using light colored cabinets could have brighten the dark kitchen.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. We have thought about window treatments and probably will do something. We have a nice view out the back, so we don't want to obstruct the view.

The lights are low, but the counter in that area is 4 feet by 9 feet. The lights only can take a 60 watt bulb, so if they get up much higher, there isn't enough light to read the morning paper. We did think about adding some over head can lights to the mix, but, there are lots of ceiling joists in that area.

We may add a rug, and there have been flowers there from time to time.

Love your kitchen its beautiful everything goes so well together. The pendant lights are very low Is the light right in the persons face thats sitting there? Seems like that would be very distracting!

It's a beautiful kitchen but WOW those pendants are hung so low. I guess they can serve as heat lamps, however, for food going out lol.

Hoooo so very nice yes I see you have a very functual kitchen to work in you must love to cook and entertain but I too would like to see some color in the kitchen like Red And use the color Green in a different way I dont know if you are a big fan of flowers or not or a fun pice of sculpture would be nice or changs the pendelint lighting and get one with some Red and Gold & Brown in it : I dont know how long this was don or if you might be selling your home but if you are this would make the sell : injoy your kitchen .

It's beautiful. Would like to see a rug or window treatment to break up the gold/green/brown and add some pattern.
