This space was a dark dungeon of a corner in our kitchen. As part of the 2nd phase of our kitchen remodel (2nd of 3, we said goodbye to the old fruit wallpaper, thick lacquered chair rail, and huge ceiling fan. We gave the walls a subtle ombre stripe treatment in grey-blue hues to help it feel larger, installed recessed lighting to brighten the room, increased seating by adding an L-shaped corner bench with storage for arts/crafts, and gave our old table and chairs a fresh coat of paint. It feels like a totally different space!
