Small, dark kitchen in 80 yr old house was gutted by my husband, walls removed, and then re-drywalled. I scraped 2 layers of thick linoleum squares off of the floor, which was re-tiled with travertine and black galaxy inserts, I painted the kitchen what we call "Blurple" to pick up the color in the emerald pearl granite counters. The other wall and ceiling color is called "Bone white" & matches the travertine. Diamond and fleur de lis shapes are a subtle theme throughout the house.
