I realize I have a lot of work to do here to make my kitchen/breakfast room really shine, but being retired, on a fixed income, and raising a precious granddaughter it will take time. However, we are truly grateful for what we have now and most of all our health and happiness! Having our Allison here with us is a blessing and keeps us "young". God bless her always is our heartfelt prayer. She is the most important thing in our lives and as much as we would like to update and spruce up our home her needs come before any home project and that is as it should be as far as we are concerned. Looking at all of your pics are very inspiring and gives me many wonderful hours of relaxing entertainment. I appreciate all of you sharing your pics with us. Very cute fireplace! Your right on painting. Tearing wallpaper off is not fun. It is hard to get motivated to tear it off and paint. When my kids were little I told them to get the crayons our and start writing on the walls, then I had no choice. I HAD to get rid of my wallpaper. LOL Please post after you paint. You do have alot of cute stuff! Just keep your VERY favorite and it would be easier to appreciate them.
