I commented on photo 4 earlier. Look at kitchen post "Bringing in the Light." This is a great look for you and hits the French note with the plate rack.

I want to go with pale yellow paint in kitchen to brighten it up a bit, I also want to go with stainless steel appliances eventually, get rid of the wallpaper border, add new faucets, deeper sink, this one here is only 6" deep, put in laminate thru house into living room that is open to kitchen, replace sliding doors with either another set that is not fogged or put in french doors, my guess to really update would be french! I love that look, it is so pretty....but we are hoping to win a makeover to get this....cabinets are nice, but if makeover, would love the white or light brown ones, update to make it look more modernized without too much funk! I like relaxed look, but elegant!!!!! Hope you pick our home for a makeover, it so much needs it, outdated!!!!!

The space I have here is sooo small, the fridge cannot be moved where the stove is due to the cabinets....plus, I cannot move the fridge to the other side beside the dishwasher because the doors to the outside slide there to go out....no deck either....what to do, we are not sure, plus we know the colors must change, the blue carpet backs up to the kitchen, we want hardwood or laminate all the way thru house.....on budget, not sure what to do next.....

Can you swap the fridge and the stove? The fridge really seems to block off your space visually.
