We took our 80's kitchen and renovated it to better function for our family. We reconfigured the space by removing the ceiling mounted cabinets/soffit, taking out the peninsula, and adding a large island. The cabinetry is a mix of "antique white with chocolate glaze" and "fireside maple with chocolate glaze" finishes. The countertops are engineered stone. The island countertop is from "Cambria" and the perimeter countertops are from "HanStone". You can get the full run down on our renovation project by clicking the following link to my blog:
