Thanks JJESQ! Love the tiny island idea. Could be a great project for my hubs. ; I agree the pendants need to go. I've been looking for the right ones. I know what I want. Same with the backsplash. I'm thinking of mirroring what I want to do to the living room. I want to paint the walls gray, add white crown molding and add onto the base board. Because that's what you see mainly from the kitchin I was thinking of painting the cabinets white maybe adding crown molding somehow, having a few cabinets with glass in the doors and add onto the baseboard again. Paint the walls gray. Same or lighter than the LR? Thoughts? And the bar area I want to pimp out. I want to add white bead board and those corner support things. :- Did I forget to mention I want bead board on my ceiling in the LR? Yeah. In my head this all makes sense and sounds amazing. My husband and I will be doing all of this ourselves! Haha. What do you guys think? And not going to forget the hardware. Thanks for the tip all!

New pendant shades, a tiled backsplash behind the stove, an area rug, a Roman shade, new kitchen hardware, and paint. I would make sure to paint the side panel of the dishwasher that faces into the room, it really hones in on line of sight. I would also add a 2' square island on wheels in an exotic looking wood finish. You can move it over beside the window against the wall if need be.
