Cottage Kitchen Renovation, Renovation of my kitchen in my little lakefront cottage....which is also my full-time home. I saw the vision for this little house even in its disastrous condition when I bought it. I knocked down walls to open the space up and I am just LOVING IT now!, Kitchens Design
Liz's Kitchen, Small kitchen but rearranging and a little paint is a sure way to open it up, making it feel much roomier!

I've listed the before/after pics, as I try to always do. If you notice, I moved the fridge fro directly next to the sink and bought a shelf for like $17 and wedge that between them. That way I got more storage without losing more space. I plan to buy a longer shelf, but I may not.
However, just that simple idea opened up my kitchen and gave me a pantry.
I think pastels are the way to go with small rooms- especially if they get good light.
Dark colors in a small space with less than great lighting will significantly shrink and suffocate your space!
I went with a bold lavender mist, and a floral back splash.
Living on a budget, it's great to find deals.
The floral back splash is a wallpaper like material, it's a bit smoother and meant to endure water for a time period, but of course if you're an insane splasher while cleaning dishes, you may want to look into something more durable. :p
It was pretty easy application, and I finished it off with two cloth baskets above my sink where I store Paper plates and the other fresh fruits/veggies!

I hope you liked this!, Kitchens Design
