We took 2 small spaces a kitchen and dining room and made it one large modern eat-in kitchen. We used as many Green materials as we could find including counters (Paperstone and sustainably harvested butcher block) floors (FSC certified plywood) cabinets (IKEA) Energy Star appliances and windows.

I recently purchesed a home. The kitchen had 80's appliances and cabinets. I did not have the funds to update everything. I replaced the appliances and refinished the cabinets. They a were a light oak color which did not enhance the space. I also added a slate tile backsplash the colors and shades added to the look.
