I did a complete renovation of my 1970's kitchen (total spent was around $8500). We put in granite countertops and backsplash and new flooring. Put in all new stainless steel appliances. I stripped and painted the cabinets a deep mocha brown and added pewter hardware. Changed out the lightning and fan and changed out the faucet. Painted the old dining set the same color as the cabinets. Lastly I decorated with a black and ecru toile theme.
At first glance my kitchen looks okay . . . but it's the up-close that needs attention! The counter tops are laminate, and peeling on the edges, I would like to remove and paint or re-stain the cabinet door fronts, and add a nice style hardware. Eventually I would like solid surface counter tops, new stainless appliances, replace tile floor with hardwood. Any suggestions?

The client wanted a brand new kitchen and laundry-room with more and better designed cabinet(s) space. Mission accomplished.
