Originally, a G-shaped kitchen that basically divided my kitchen in half & only used 1/2 the space. I have totally gutted it, designed a new layout that would utilize the entire space. Created a lot more storage, along with more convenient functions, like pull out drawers, single basin sink & taller faucet. New floor, more lighting that I installed myself. I had a very small budget but I feel I got a "Bang For Your Bucks". And even though I've designed every inch of it and had a pretty good idea of how everything would look, the finished project actually turned out much more beautiful than I ever imagined. This has been a very rewarding experience.

This kitchen is in an 18th century log house that I rebuilt on my property. It was done on a tight budget and has many reused items in it. I took box store unfinished cabinets and added moldings, beadboard and cool hardware. The countertops are black granite tiles with stainless steel edging. The backsplash is beadboard. Being the cook that I am, I wanted a chef's kitchen but still fitting with the age of the house. I think it has a good mix of old and new. I spent around $2000.00 to do this project and worked on it for about 5 weeks.
