I built this kitchen with my two sons, 11 and 14. I am not a professional contractor - my day job is in finance. I cannot thank my eldest son enough for providing a much needed second set of hands.
This was a ground up build from scratch. I used 3/4" ply, dado and maple face frame construction. I did purchase the doors from CabinetNow - paint grade maple raised panel Manhattan doors with Blum clip hinges.
Thanks for viewing!

Deserted stone cottage that we had watched for 25 years and it finally came on the market. When we bought it it had only been used as a weekend get away but it is our full time home. We renovated on a shoestring and our kitchen is our pride and joy, all for under 5K

Originally, a G-shaped kitchen that basically divided my kitchen in half & only used 1/2 the space. I have totally gutted it, designed a new layout that would utilize the entire space. Created a lot more storage, along with more convenient functions, like pull out drawers, single basin sink & taller faucet. New floor, more lighting that I installed myself. I had a very small budget but I feel I got a "Bang For Your Bucks". And even though I've designed every inch of it and had a pretty good idea of how everything would look, the finished project actually turned out much more beautiful than I ever imagined. This has been a very rewarding experience.
