I love your backsplash. Is that bevelled subway tile? Sometimes the best decor for a kitchen are cookbooks, herb plants in terra pots, and a big bowl of apples. Don't use any fake greens and I notice the area above the cabinets is low so I would keep that space undecorated. A big glass cylinder vase you can find at TJ Maxx for under $10 filled with branches on the island would look nice. Love your floors. I would find a better rug for in front of the sink, longer too. Maybe a Persian type.
