gutted this 60's kitchen over two years ago, not finished yet but getting closer. Decisions to be made . Backsplash??? Handles??? curtains??? pendalent lights over bar and sink???? .....there is still loose ends to finish but thought I might get some suggestions on these few things....we will be putting trim on top of cabinets as well.

Those things inside the lighted corner cabinet should be red, not zebra-striped which clash with the granite. Look into a marble 4-inch backsplash, in a cream color. I believe there is a cream marfil. We have that either in our bath or kitchen back-splash, I can't remember which, because the one in our bath is tumbled. I wouldn't do tumbled. Nickel-plated pulls would be good, stream-lined & modern. Good luck!

I agree with BarbaraBee about the backsplash not competing with the beautiful granite.
Subway tiles are one of my favorites.

Great job. With your black cabinets and busy granite, I would definitely go with classic Subway tiles, probably white, although they do come in colors and also beveled. You can 'Google Image' Subway tile backsplashes to see all the photos. Don't make the mistake many do, with a busy glass backsplash which competes with your beautiful granite. Keep the backsplash simple and classy. Not sure about cabinet pulls. There are zillions to choose from in silver or brushed silver.
