Great computer niche. Love the beige and black color scheme. I do like your display unit, but would have liked to see your tv incorporated in it instead of on a separate unit to streamline the look. Maybe consider using a few baskets in some of the cubbies. Your map needs to be lowered. Finally, removing the verticals and replacing with long drapery panels would update the look and add some texture. If it's a rental and verticals must stay, you can stack them permanently open and place the panels right over them and they will disappear.

Living Room, In my 1930's home, I've tried hard to integrate my modern taste with some of the traditional elements, such as the moldings and archways. In my living room, I used a sort of greige-ish hue to accent my red couch and chair. My coffee table is from my grandmother's farmhouse - freshened up with a coat of glossy black paint on the base.
